How do I get Started?
First you must register and reply to the e-mail to complete registration. In order to get started you must first log in to the bulletin board. Do this by typing your username and password into the fields at the bottom of the main page. If there is a welcome with your username on the top right of the board, then you are logged in. Non-members who don't have membership to the bulletin board can still see the messages, but Non-members cannot post or reply to messages. Non-members are referred to as guests.
Posting a new thread
First lets get familiar with some bulletin board terminology. This bulletin board is a forum style board. Forums are smaller bulletin boards for messages on a specific subject. Examples of forums on our site would include the Lounge and the Comments/Suggestions forum.
When you view a forum (by clicking on it) you will see a series of topics. The topics represent threads. Clicking on the thread title (or topic) will display the contents of that thread (posts).
To post a new message you will actually be starting a new thread. Select the forum in which you wish to post and click the New Thread button. In the New Thread screen there are a few options. A Subject is required because that subject becomes the title of the thread you are starting. A message icon is optional. The icon you select appears next to the thread title in the forum view. The message itself is self-explanatory. To save your message, click the Submit New Thread button. You can also preview the message before posting it to make sure it looks right, you have the option of editing the message when you preview. The other options are explained here: Email Notification, Attach File, Post a Poll.
You may post a new thread in any forum but if you are posting about a specific area or item it is beneficial to put it in the best forum. If you accidentally post a thread somewhere and think it needs to be moved, inform a moderator or administrator.
How do I reply to a Thread?
To reply to someone else's message (or even your own) just click the Post Reply button found at the top and bottom of the thread you are in. The screen you use to post a reply is identical to the new thread screen except for the Poll option. When you are done, click either Preview Reply or Submit Reply and you will either be taken to a preview or back to the thread with your new post at the bottom.
Can I change my Profile?
Yes, you can alter any of the fields in your profile, except your username. The link to change your profile is at the top, click the button "profile" It represents "user control panel".
Forget Your Password?
If you forget your password, you can click on the 'Forgotten Your Password' link on any page that requires you to fill in your password.
This will bring up a page where you should enter your registered email address, and your password will be automatically emailed to you immediately.
